Annette MacDonald‘s biography

Hello, my name is Annette MacDonald and I am a fully qualified Funeral Director, working in Aberdeen with many years experience.

Through the years, I have listened to the families for whom I was privileged to be able to assist and I know that they appreciated being given a choice as to how the service for their loved one was conducted.  As a result of this, I took the steps to continue my professional development and train as a Civil Celebrant.

We all know that traditionally a Minister would preside over the funeral service, but more and more families wanted a less religious service, Humanist ceremonies may suit some, however they do not allow any spiritual content or the chance to sing a hymn.  I believe that it is not up to the officiant to decide what content can or cannot be included, you have the right to the service most befitting your beliefs.
