One at Rest

One at Rest (anon.)

Contributed by Julie McManus

I have recorded a poem that I have used only a couple of times, but stays with me for some reason. I came across it when I was looking for words for a family that couldn’t think of any poems or words they liked and that would be fitting for their loved one. They were a quiet person that liked to keep their own company and “didn’t like a fuss” (something we hear so often as celebrants). These words seemed to quietly and respectfully honour that.

One at Rest.
