Cate Reid‘s biography

Hello!

Every life, every relationship, is unique, and should be celebrated as such!

My name is Cate and my role is to work with you to create meaningful, heartfelt ceremonies which will enable you to celebrate your wedding, civil partnership, baby naming, vow renewal, or the life of a lost loved one, in a way which truly reflects personal values and beliefs.

All my ceremonies are lovingly crafted with couple at the heart, your service can be non-religious, religious, spiritual or a mixture, the tone can be formal or relaxed whichever suits your needs.

My authority to solemnise legal marriages comes under the auspices of Open Sanctuary who trained me, and as such I am authorised by the Registrar General For Scotland to carry out legal weddings. I promise to work in integrity, love and acceptance and write a bespoke ceremony which reflects your wishes, values, and beliefs.

After over twenty years in Further Education, I began my new journey as a Celebrant in August 2019, and I truly believe this is the best job ever. I teach within the wedding, funeral, naming and commitment industry and I endeavour to support, encourage, and empower anyone who is interested in this most rewarding career.
