Chris Vermeulen‘s biography
I take services across the Central Belt of Scotland and am willing to travel widely. For example I have taken services in Largs, Greenock, Paisley, Glasgow, Hamilton, Motherwell, Falkirk, Stirling, Shotts, Lanark, Livingstone, and Edinburgh.
I mainly conduct funerals, but do take the occasional wedding, Baby naming ceremonies and scattering of ashes. I also help prepare the wishes of those wanting to prepare their own ceremonies at some future date.
I was a minister for 33 years until I resigned 2017 to work independently creating personalised and unique services around the wishes, beliefs and values of the family, friends and loved one.
I will help you and your family talk about your loved one and design a fitting tribute, or eulogy. This tribute aims to give a respectful account of your loved one’s life and experiences, their qualities and beliefs. It is a celebration of their life.
I am fully equipped with blue tooth speakers and can conduct services in the crematorium, at a grave side, a home, or any other setting that is appropriate.
I am to respect your wishes, needs and philosophy and you will have a hand in the design of the ceremony. As your Celebrant, I will consult you and discuss your wishes, then design and facilitate your ceremony motivated by your ideas and intentions. So your ceremony may contain whatever religious or non-religious content that best celebrates and respects your loved ones wishes.
