Diane Goldberg‘s biography
Diane Goldberg in an Independent Funeral Celebrant based in Cumbernauld. My work to date has spanned North & South Lanarkshire, Falkirk, Stirlingshire, Edinburgh, the Lothians and the Scottish Borders. I am committed to working with families to prepare and conduct funeral services that honour their loved ones, focussing on everything that made them special and unique.
When someone dies we only get one chance to say goodbye…and it can be a daunting time. We are grieving yet at the same time having to make those important decisions about a loved one’s funeral service. I work with families every step of the way, exploring options, ensuring loved ones wishes are carried out, discussing and planning services right through to conducting the ceremonies on the day of the funeral. I offer completely non-religious services but I am also more than happy to include hymns or religious readings if a family wish. I welcome and encourage the participation of family members or friends during services with the inclusion of personal tributes, readings, poems or songs. I believe it’s your loved one, your choice, your voice, your ceremony.
My own family’s experience of living with dementia led to me my voluntary work with Alzheimer Scotland back in 2011. In 2015 I joined the Board and work with my fellow Trustees and Board Members as the organisation’s Honorary Secretary to ensure the continued vitality of the charity in the ever changing world we live in. I am an accomplished public speaker speaking on behalf of Alzheimer Scotland, and as a Life Coach, helping people improve their mind-set and live the best life possible.
I have considerable experience working with individuals and families through difficult times, writing uplifting and inspiring speeches and capturing the hearts of audiences with positive and uplifting tributes.
