Helen Parker‘s biography
I have a background working in homelessness and child protection, therefore have considerable experience in working with families during difficult times. I am also President of Renfrewshire Speakers Club, therefore I am a confident public speaker. I love storytelling and decided to train as an Independent Celebrant with Celebrant Training Scotland in June 2022 and since then have delivered ceremonies in crematoria and also parlour/burial ceremonies. I was also honoured to have been invited by the staff at Clyde Coast and Garnock Valley Crematorium to create and lead their Father’ Day Memorial Ceremony in June of this year and also in 2023.
I promise I will do everything I can to honour the life of your loved one. I will do this by visiting you at a convenient time and taking time to get to know what mattered to your loved one, and will create a totally bespoke and heartfelt ceremony that truly reflects their character and your wishes.
I can include elements of faith or spirituality or none at all and am happy to offer advice in terms of poems, readings, prayers and music. I am also able to include elements of ritual , including toasts. I welcome and support the participation of family members or friends during services .
I never forget that you will be experiencing a myriad of emotions as you plan to lay your loved one to rest and will do my utmost to make the experience as positive as it possibly can be in the circumstances.
