Jacky McKinney‘s biography
I’m Jacky and I live in Edinburgh with my wife Donna and our gorgeous fox red labrador – Finn.
After working as an Accommodation Manager with Edinburgh University for 25 years, I made the decision to retrain as a Celebrant when I delivered the eulogy at my own mum’s funeral. It felt like a natural next step for me, and now I strive to create the best service that I can, to truly reflect the person I’m writing about, who they were, what they loved and the dreams they followed.
I love my job and I feel incredibly lucky to meet so many wonderful people and to be able to tell their loved one’s story. Each person’s journey is unique, full of quirks, warmth, love and life, and it’s my privilege to create a personal and meaningful ceremony that reflects who they were. I take time to really listen to each family I work with, so that every service feels personal and heartfelt.
It would be my privilege to help you through this time of loss.
