John Fox‘s biography

My name is John Fox and I am an Independent Celebrant officiating at funeral services throughout Central Scotland. I have recently taken early retirement from a career in the Civil Service, where I operated as a senior manager for many years, to combine professional celebrancy services with caring responsibilities.

I am based in Falkirk and, to date, have performed ceremonies at Falkirk, Stirlingshire and Daldowie Crematoriums. I have also officiated at graveside services.

Celebrancy Experience

I have been an ad hoc Assistant Registrar with Falkirk Council since 2003 and have officiated at well over 300 wedding ceremonies. I enjoy working with couples to prepare, agree and deliver bespoke and personal ceremonies that meet their needs. The feedback I receive is consistently excellent.

Last February, I completed the 5 Day Funeral Celebrancy course with Celebrant Training Scotland (CTS). I have officiated at over 25 funeral services since then. I have extensive previous experience of working with bereaved families. I use my interpersonal and communication skills to consistently provide respectful and professional services that properly celebrate the lives of their loved ones. I deliver non-faith and hybrid services and gladly include ceremony enhancements such as toasts etc.

I am an accredited member of the Scottish Independent Celebrants’ Association (SICA) having had my performance at funeral services reviewed and assessed.
