Kay Hume‘s biography

I specialise in weddings (including vow renewals), funerals and celebrations of life; however, I am more than happy to work with you to mark any special occasion or milestone. Having completed my training 3 years ago, I continue my professional development and training through SICA.

Having spoken at both weddings and funerals in the past, I realised that offering something that was truly person centred was something that aligned with my own principles.

Whilst I do not follow a belief system myself, I appreciate that others may and am therefore able to introduce anything you feel is appropriate to your ceremony, whether that be a religious story or a ritual. I will work together with you to ensure you have what feels right for you.

My background in career guidance and coaching has given me first-hand experience of working with people to explore their story. I love finding out more about people and am able to pick up on small cues that often give the best insight in to the story being told.

It can be hard for people to know where to start when sharing information about themselves or their loved ones, and this is where my experience really comes into its own. With the ability to ask the right questions, I am able to create a celebration that is bespoke and a true reflection of a life or life shared.

With a knack for blending heartfelt moments in a relaxed atmosphere, I’m all about making a ceremony feel like a perfect reflection of the individuals involved. Whether it’s a wedding full of laughter or a celebration of life that’s warm and genuine, I will create an atmosphere where everyone feels at ease.

My personality type makes me an enthusiastic, creative free spirit with a vibrant energy who finds it easy to connect with others.

So, whether it’s sharing a laugh or a quiet moment, I will work with you to create the tone that is right for your occasion.
