This is so much more than just a job, this was my calling and the title does not reflect how blessed I feel every time I am asked to help a family at such sad times.

There is so much to be done when preparing a funeral, and it can be overwhelming , and then you have to let this stranger come into your home and share personal memories of your loved ones, which can be so daunting for families and many times families feel they don’t know enough and worry about my visit.

What I can tell you is when I arrive, we will have a chat at your own pace and I will write down everything that is being said, as you speak, memories will come flooding back and there is no rush or set template.

There may be family members that wish to pay their own tribute on the day which is always a lovely and personal touch, you may want a prayer or a hymn or poem, this can all be included as the service should always be what the family want.
