    Richie Adams‘s biography

I am a qualified celebrant.  I have completed the Celebrant Training Academy of Scotland’s training course which I passed with distinction.

I believe in vocation and service, so have focused my career on doing the things I care about and where I can most help people.

I have been a police officer, a charity leader, an academic and career coach.   In all these roles I have supported people and  who were, often, in crisis.  My ability to remain calm in difficult situations helped me support others in experiencing challenging times.

My ability to truly listen with empathy, respect and compassion to what I am being told is a skill I have developed over many years.  I am able to take what I have heard  and present it in a way that best reflects the situation and supports the needs of any family.  Having spoken in a range of situations from one-to-one conversations to international conferences, I am an accomplished public speaker and will tell your story in the best possible way.

I love what I do and will always do my best to be there for you when you need me.  I can be relied upon to do an excellent job every time.

There are moments in every life that deserve to be marked. Whether you are naming your child, renewing your wedding vows or preparing for the funeral of a loved one, an independent celebrant can help with your ceremony.

As an independent celebrant, I am able to reflect any beliefs you have.  These might be religious or non-religious.  You may want a Bible verse read, or a poem recited.  I can do all that for you.  What is most important to me is that the service we plan reflects you, your wishes and your beliefs.

Let me help you plan your ceremony and, together,  we can make it unique to you.

I am based in Edinburgh and work across the Lothians, Scottish Borders and Central Scotland.
