Sarah Burnside‘s biography

Hello – my name is Sarah and I want to extend a very warm welcome to you all!

There are occasions in everyone’s life which we want to share with family, friends and our wider community. It may be a wedding or the loss of a loved one, the birth of a new child or a major life transition that we want to mark in some way.

My own agnostic beliefs allow me to be open-minded and to respectfully explore and include all kinds of different beliefs and cultural practices in my celebrancy work, including secular and mixed faiths. These things are all a part of your individual story and it is my privilege to create a ceremony that reflects that and is personal to you individually, as couples and as families.

Each ceremony is bespoke and lovingly crafted in collaboration with those for whom the ceremony is written and can be as formal or informal as you would like. It can include as many spiritual and cultural elements as you wish – or indeed none at all – and is always warm and inviting.

I am more than happy to travel to any area of Scotland to create and provide your ceremony so do get in touch to discuss your thoughts and ideas and the possibilities available to you.
