Sarah Gold‘s biography
My name is Sarah and I am in my late 50s. During my life like many other people, I have experienced some tough situations and been touched with grief and loss. I became widowed in my late 30s, a sad, difficult time for both me & my teenage son. A few years ago, I lost my lovely dad to dementia.
However, life has been kind in many other ways, and I am blessed with family and friends who say I am kind, sensitive and thoughtful.
After being a piano teacher for most of my adult life, the Pandemic became a time to reflect and reassess the way forward. It was then I decided to train to become a Funeral Celebrant and I have never looked back. My life experiences have helped give me the understanding as well as empathy, for those suffering with their grief and loss of their loved one.
I am an Independent Funeral Celebrant which means Ceremonies I deliver, can be religious or secular. So, if your loved ones’ wishes were for a burial but not a church service, you may like to have a graveside ceremony instead. Perhaps their wishes were for a ‘no fuss’ Cremation, but you feel the need for closure, then a Ceremony for Scattering their Ashes in that special place may be your choice; perhaps when your grief is less raw to celebrate your loved one’s life in this way.
Sometimes, due to circumstances, it may not have been possible to have the funeral you hoped for your loved one at the time. An option could be to have a Memorial Ceremony at a more appropriate period when everyone can attend. You may have that significant place in mind for that special tribute to your loved one.
SayGoodbyeCeremonies is for you – however you wish to Say Goodbye to your loved one. If you would like to know more please get in touch
