Hello! I’m Emily and at Heart of Yew Ceremonies I create bespoke ceremonies for people who feel a spiritual connection with nature. My aim is to collaborate with you to co-create a deeply meaningful, heartfelt, and inclusive ceremony for you and your family or community that has nature and the cycle of the seasons at its heart.

Located in the North East of Scotland , I cover Aberdeenshire and Angus. I am also happy to conduct ceremonies in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway.

My ethos is  based on creativity and equality – embracing many cultures, identities and belief systems.  I love getting to know the people at the heart of each ceremony , building relationships and then creating a personalised ceremony that holds meaning unique to the people involved.

I work mainly in Perthshire, Scotland and surrounding areas such as Dundee, Stirling, Edinburgh, Falkirk, Glasgow, and Paisley.

As an Independent Spiritual Minister, I am dedicated to provide heartfelt and meaningful ceremonies tailored to the needs of individuals and families. My authorisation to conduct a legal marriage is part of my membership with the Associationof Independent Spiritual Ministers recognised by the Registrar General.    As with all SICA members who are authorised to conduct legal marriages in Scotland this authorisation is separate from from my SICA membership aisministers.co.uk I primarily serve the Perth, Stirling, and Glasgow areas, offering a variety of ceremonies to mark significant life events.

After initially  training as a funeral celebrant, I am now able to offer other ceremonies, including legal marriages, baby naming ceremonies, adoptions, divorce ceremonies. All are totally bespoke and tailored to reflect your wishes.

I am an interfaith minister and celebrant and I’m available to conduct ceremonies including opposite-sex and same-sex weddings and civil partnerships. I work mostly in central and southern Scotland but I’m happy to travel further afield if required. My aim is to be accompany you to the best of my ability during this important time, and to create and deliver a special ceremony which truly reflects your own beliefs, values and requirements.

As the name suggests, my ceremonies are celebrations, honouring a life, welcoming a new life or identity or marking an important rite of passage. In addition to my own life experiences and professional background in the NHS, Public Health, Communities and Education, I have an open-minded and culturally sensitive approach to life, death and everything in between.
