I am an interfaith minister and celebrant based in South Lanarkshire. I am available to conduct ceremonies including opposite-sex and same-sex weddings and civil partnerships. I work mostly in central and southern Scotland but I’m happy to travel further afield if required. My name is Reverend Jean Thomson and I am a  Ceremonialist and Interfaith Minister operating throughout Scotland. My aim is to create personal, meaningful, memorable ceremonies, filled with love, be that welcoming new life, entering marriage or saying a sad but fond farewell to a loved one. It is a privilege to get to know couples and families and work with them at both the happiest and saddest moments in their lives. The common thread that runs through all my ceremonies is that they are crafted with love, authentic and tailor made.

As a minister with the Open Sanctuary I am authorised by the Registrar General to conduct legal weddings anywhere in Scotland, indoors or outdoors. One of the blessings we receive as Ministers in the Open Sanctuary is when we are invited to honour key points in peoples lives by creating and delivering weddings, funerals, baby naming ceremonies  and other rites of passages.

Ceremonies are conducted according to the beliefs of the couple and the families, or none if that is the case. It is your ceremony….your way. It isn’t about me or my beliefs, so you don’t need to worry about adhering to the beliefs of the officiant.
